In part 1, I shared how some people define themselves by their past.
They think, ‘since that’s how I’ve acted in the past, then that’s who I must be.’
What people with this line of thought fail to take into consideration is,
At one point the past was the present. This is pretty straightforward. Come tomorrow, today will be yesterday, i.e. the ‘past.’
At the same time, decisions you take today can have an affect on the future.
If you doubt this, imagine what would happen if you were to walk away from your job, throw away your money, and burn everything you own…I’m thinking tomorrow will be a very different day…
The two points above are very important. That’s because what you do now determines your past and your future. (come to think of it, the present is kinda like a time machine.)
So if you find yourself living in the past, or shying away from you dreams because of the past, understand that the decisions you make in the present are your past.
You can rewrite your past by making different choices NOW.
It starts as a shift in your thinking…
Then you continuously make the choice to be the person you want to be, whether it’s training for the first time, taking your training to a new level, eating right, earning more moolah, or changing any other habit or personality trait you may have.
YOU CAN DO IT.
And every moment in the NOW is your opportunity to do so…
